Why 10 points?

Most platforms give you binary choices — like it or don't. Star ratings help, but 5 points still clumps everything together. A "3-star" movie could be "meh" or "pretty good depending on your mood."

With 10 points, you can express real nuance. A 6 is "above average, enjoyed it." A 7 is "genuinely good, would recommend." An 8 is "great, will remember this." These distinctions matter for recommendations.

Every rating teaches our AI more about your taste. The more precise your input, the more precise your recommendations become. It's a virtuous cycle: better ratings → better AI model → better discoveries.

1-3: Not for you

From "awful" to "poor" — these help the AI learn what to avoid recommending.

4-5: Middle ground

"Below average" to "average" — not bad, but not what you're looking for.

6-8: The good stuff

"Above average" to "great" — this is where most of your recommendations will aim.

9-10: Exceptional

"Amazing" to "masterpiece" — your highest-rated items are the strongest signal for recommendations.
